Yes I do love doorways — especially ancient gates and arches. 

They beckon to us and promise something new just over the threshold or down the path.

It was after I’d done about a dozen pieces with various doors and arches that I noticed my obsession with the whole idea of invitation.

My desire to share a walk with friends was obviously showing up in my artwork.
